Here we list a few places and budget guesthouses in Ayutthaya to choose from when your planning to visit Ayutthaya City and stay there overnight.

PU Guesthouse

offers a very friendly service, room rates start around 250 Baht to 600 Baht. The more expensive rooms have aircon and are not over priced. All rooms have private bathrooms with hot and  cold showers.

Baan Khun Phra

Dorm beds 150 - 250, single and double rooms 350 - 700 Thai Baht. This is an 80 year old teak house that is rebuilt and located next to the river not far away from the bus and train station.This is the most atmospheric place to stay in Ayutthaya specially the dinners in the nightime makes the place very special with all the lightning and river view. All rooms have ceiling fans and shared bathrooms.

Tony's Place

This small budget hotel is build on 2 a storey house and is surrounded by trees. The place is located in the center of Ayutthaya and has a nice restaurant, bar and pool table. Rooms are available and start at 250 Thai baht. Opposite the guesthouse there are serveral shops where you can rent a motorbike or bicycle, there is also a tour booking shop around the corner and if you would like to go for sightseeing in or around Ayutthaya you can book your trip right there.

Old Palace Resort

is located outside the city center and is not so convenient to reach, but taking a tuk tuk from the bus or train station is fun. Make sure that you have printed out the map from their website and show it to the tuk-tuk driver. The guesthouse has small houses / bungalows with a porch and are surrounded by trees. The air is much fresher than in the city center and all is more relaxed.

Krungsri River Hotel

is located next to the Chao Phraya river and is one of the most exclusive hotels in Ayutthaya. If you would like to dive into a nice swimming pool, have a good room, sauna and fitness then this is the right place to stay. Accommodations start at 1800 Thai Baht per night this is around 37 Euro's and its really a great place. They have a good restaurant serving Thai food located beside the river and live music. On the ground floor you will find a small pub with loud music that is open until 2 AM.
